Taming your Triggers Presentation
Led by Julie Stender, LICSW and Mel Koenen, LAMFT. Taming Your Triggers educates attendees on what triggers are, where they come from, nervous system responses, and practical skills for managing those triggers. This knowledge will then be applied to how triggers impact job performance/satisfaction and the client’s experience in receiving services.
Workshop Objectives:
Define what triggers are and how they impact behavior and emotions.
Explore common types of triggers.
Help participants identify their triggers through reflection and examples.
Educate on physiological/psychological responses to triggers.
Provide techniques to help manage triggers in the moment.
Recognize how our and client triggers impact interactions.
